What You’ll Do

  • Provide clerical support for asset management, including maintaining records and databases.
  • Check and issue furniture, equipment, and accessories to various components and individuals.
  • Identify redundant and non-serviceable equipment for disposal.
  • Verify the asset register to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in demand and acquisition processes, including updating the supplier database.
  • Register suppliers on LOGIS or similar systems and capture specifications on electronic purchasing systems.
  • Place orders and manage the receipt and verification of goods from suppliers.
  • Maintain a goods register and ensure proper issuance to end users.
  • Provide logistical support during the bid consideration and contracts process.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate or a related equivalent qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain duties and practices.
  • Ability to capture data and operate a computer effectively.
  • Understanding of the legislative framework governing the public service.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good interpersonal relations and the ability to work within a team.
