What You’ll Do

  • Capture contracts on the state land lease system and manage related documentation.
  • Add lease information to the Land Administration Web (LAW) system.
  • Generate and upload approval documents for leases and caretaker agreements.
  • Facilitate the signing of lease and caretaker agreements.
  • Compile records of original contracts and inspection reports for asset verification.
  • Develop a lease schedule for all state properties and conduct asset inspections.
  • Ensure the protection of state assets against vandalism and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Monitor caretaker performance and compliance with lease agreements.
  • Provide support to the district and process applications for amendments to lease agreements.
  • Initiate and oversee land surveying for state-owned assets.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Real Estate, LLB, Property Law, Property Management, or a related qualification (NQF Level 6).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in property management.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Finance Management Act, and relevant laws governing property management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and report writing.
  • Problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal relations.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
