What You’ll Do
- Implement projects that support the development of agricultural producers toward commercialisation.
- Coordinate the identification process for producers requiring assistance.
- Facilitate partnerships between producers and development partners.
- Organise and lead capacity-building and training programmes for producers.
- Assist in the appointment of strategic partners and service providers.
- Map and mobilise resources for farms targeted for development.
- Develop and maintain project registers and ensure project approvals are in line with departmental policies.
- Conduct feasibility studies and farm assessments to inform project decisions.
- Compile reports and assist in developing comprehensive business plans.
- Monitor ongoing projects and ensure compliance with governance and operational standards.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agri Business, Agricultural Management, LLB, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a land reform environment.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Understanding of the Department’s policies and practices related to Land Reform.
- Knowledge of government development policies, including the National Development Plan.
- Strong project management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage conflicts and mobilise stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in financial management and computer literacy.
- Willingness to travel as required.
