What You’ll Do

  • Control and manage documentation within the Directorate.
  • Oversee the mail register and ensure timely registration and dissemination of documents.
  • Process telephone queries and provide necessary responses.
  • Administer human resources management functions, including managing the leave register.
  • Prepare submissions for vacant posts and coordinate staff appointments.
  • Organize interviews and maintain relevant records.
  • Compile budget expenditure reports and assist with budget allocation for operational activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance and organization of the filing system for unit documents.
  • Arrange meetings, workshops, and official functions, including travel and accommodation logistics.
  • Liaise with travel agencies and manage procurement of necessary supplies.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate (NQF4) and a National Diploma (NQF6) in Office Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in Administration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of departmental financial and budgeting procedures.
  • Strong understanding of human resources legislation and the Public Finance Management Act.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, planning, and organizing abilities.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
