What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and review financial information for planning purposes.
- Oversee financial reporting for the college, supporting the Deputy Principal: Finance.
- Compile Annual Financial Statements and Monthly Reports.
- Review monthly reconciliations and perform financial reporting duties for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports for the Council.
- Monitor internal controls within the Finance Division to ensure compliance.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary access to documentation.
- Support unit management within the Finance Department, ensuring proper accounting practices.
- Supervise staff to deliver efficient financial accounting services.
- Develop and implement work systems for effective operational functioning.
What You’ll Need
- Matric / Grade 12 and a recognized 4-year Degree (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management.
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a Financial Management environment, including three years in a supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Financial Management Systems.
- Understanding of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and related legislation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate under pressure.
