What You’ll Do

  • Develop, administer, and maintain a restitution land claims database.
  • Implement and monitor the office’s file plan and quality of standardized files.
  • Compile reports on standardized files and inventory updates.
  • Provide information and support to claimants regarding the status of their claims.
  • Respond to general inquiries about land claims lodgement.
  • Update statistical information related to land claims lodged and settled.
  • Ensure compliance with registry rules and manage the movement of files.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the directorate.
  • Process documents for archival and disposal, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Information Management, Information Science, or Records Management (NQF Level 6), or a National Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restitution, records management, or registry services environment.
  • Knowledge of statistical, registry, and records management practices.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in computer literacy and possess analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on interpersonal relations.
