What You’ll Do

  • Administer payroll management services for staff within the department.
  • Maintain and ensure efficient filing and storage of payroll reports.
  • Handle queries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administer monthly reconciliations of tax matters.
  • Monitor and manage the payment of transfers and subsidies.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to the salary administration suspense account.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF level 6 qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Qualification in Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Internal Auditing, or Finance Management is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license (not required for individuals with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of financial legislative policies, procedures, and Treasury regulations.
  • Proficiency in BAS and PERSAL systems.
  • Functional computer literacy, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong record-keeping abilities.
