About the Role
The Department of Land Reform and Rural Development seeks a dedicated Senior Administrative Officer based in East London, Eastern Cape. What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain the restitution land claims database for effective tracking and management.
- Administer the implementation of a filing plan to ensure organized access to documentation.
- Compile and update reports and inventories related to standardized files and claims.
- Provide accurate information to claimants regarding the status of their land claims.
- Respond to general enquiries about the lodgement of land claims and ensure compliance with registry rules.
- Coordinate and execute administrative duties, including clerical and personnel administration support.
- Process documents for archival and disposal, maintaining a streamlined registry system.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Information Management, Information Science, Records Management, or Business Administration (NQF Level 6).
- At least 2 years of experience in a restitution, records management, or registry services environment.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, registry and records management practices, and relevant government legislation.
- Strong time management, planning, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver’s licence is required for this role.
