What You’ll Do

  • Provide secretariat and receptionist support to the Director.
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain and update the Director’s diary, recording appointments and events.
  • Type documents and prepare correspondence for the senior manager and team.
  • Operate office equipment, including computers and photocopiers.
  • Arrange travel logistics and verify arrangements with relevant documents.
  • Organize meetings and events, including venue selection and refreshments.
  • Process travel and subsistence claims for the unit.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices and assist in clerical tasks.
  • Take minutes during meetings and support document filing for the unit.
  • Handle procurement of standard office items and manage office supplies.
  • Keep updated on departmental policies and procedures to provide effective support.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with diverse individuals and maintain discretion.
  • A proactive approach to learning and applying relevant public service policies.
