What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of integrated monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Develop and review frameworks for evaluating departmental performance and SOEs.
  • Manage the department’s data and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct assessments to determine the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Monitor performance in line with strategic and operational plans.
  • Drive operational excellence and governance within the department.
  • Compile and coordinate institutional performance and strategic reports.
  • Facilitate training and capacity building on monitoring and evaluation.
  • Establish strategic partnerships to enhance evaluation capacity.
  • Represent the department in national and international forums focused on evaluation practices.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Public Administration (NQF Level 7).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior managerial level in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and applicable legislation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret evaluation data effectively.
  • Experience in integrated planning for multisector engagement.
