What You’ll Do

• Provide technical support to the Plant Research and Technology Development Services.
• Collect, capture, process, and interpret technical data related to crop growth and development.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, trials, and observations.
• Assist in data analysis using appropriate software and techniques.
• Support researchers and staff in technical matters.
• Participate in project meetings and discussions.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 and a recognised BSc Degree/BTech (NQF 7) in Crop Science, Agronomy, or Horticulture as recognised by SAQA.
• Valid compulsory registration with SACNASP.
• Three (3) years’ post-qualification technical (scientific) experience.
• Solid knowledge of plant/crop production fundamentals.
• Understanding of safety protocols and compliance in an agricultural setting.
• Familiarity with plant physiology, plant pathology, and agronomy is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s licence.
