What You’ll Do

• Perform analytical analyses on samples such as soils, water, feed, and plant materials.
• Develop and refine new analytical procedures to improve laboratory efficiency.
• Conduct technical scientific analysis and regulatory functions in line with departmental standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide laboratory assistants to foster a high-performance culture.
• Stay informed about relevant regulations, policies, and technological advancements to deliver effective services.
• Engage in research and development initiatives to support the department’s objectives.

What You’ll Need

• A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Chemistry or Soil Science recognized by SAQA.
• Valid compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Certificated Natural Scientist.
• Three years of post-qualification technical (scientific) experience.
• Strong knowledge of analytical methods related to soils, water, and essential oils.
• Proficiency in scientific methodologies and computer-aided applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and team leadership skills.
• A valid driver’s license.
