What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement strategic policies and frameworks for pasture science.
• Provide leadership and direction in scientific research and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the coordination of research projects and development of scientific models.
• Manage financial resources and ensure budget compliance.
• Supervise and mentor staff to foster a high-performance culture.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
• Engage in governance and policy development to align with departmental objectives.

What You’ll Need

• MSc degree in Pasture Science or related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in natural sciences.
• Compulsory registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a professional Natural Scientist.
• Proficient in scientific methodologies, research and development, and technical report writing.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
