What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures for animal science production.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for research and development initiatives.
- Lead the coordination and development of scientific models and regulatory frameworks.
- Manage financial resources and ensure effective people management within the team.
- Uphold governance standards and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a high-performance culture through mentoring and team leadership.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare technical reports to inform decision-making.
What You’ll Need
- Master’s degree in Animal Science or a relevant qualification.
- Minimum of six years of post-qualification experience in natural sciences.
- Valid registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a professional Natural Scientist.
- Expertise in scientific methodologies, research and development, and technical report writing.
- Strong skills in programme and project management, financial management, and policy development.
- Competencies in strategic capability, leadership, decision-making, and team management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and a valid driver’s license.
