What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures for animal science production.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for research and development initiatives.
• Lead the coordination and development of scientific models and regulatory frameworks.
• Manage financial resources and ensure effective people management within the team.
• Uphold governance standards and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Foster a high-performance culture through mentoring and team leadership.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare technical reports to inform decision-making.

What You’ll Need

• Master’s degree in Animal Science or a relevant qualification.
• Minimum of six years of post-qualification experience in natural sciences.
• Valid registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a professional Natural Scientist.
• Expertise in scientific methodologies, research and development, and technical report writing.
• Strong skills in programme and project management, financial management, and policy development.
• Competencies in strategic capability, leadership, decision-making, and team management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and a valid driver’s license.
