What You’ll Do
- Monitor and verify all aspects of record management, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
- Develop and report on financial administration systems, including budgeting and procurement processes.
- Assist in maintaining various registers, such as admission, attendance, and disciplinary registers.
- Support the development of file plans and registers in line with national policies.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of financial management practices within schools.
- Provide training and support to staff on financial administration improvements.
- Prepare written and electronic reports on school financial administration to senior management.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) and a three-year relevant qualification in finance.
- At least two years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in finance and records management.
- Knowledge of departmental policies, the Archives and Records Service Act, and Public Financial Management (PFMA).
- Understanding of budgeting processes and financial systems, such as Pastel.
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape.
- Computer literacy with skills in financial management software and information management systems.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and problem-solving abilities.
