What You’ll Do
- Monitor and verify records management to ensure compliance with policies and norms.
- Develop and report on school administration aspects to the Assistant Director of School Financial Management and Administration.
- Oversee financial administration processes, including budgeting, procurement, and asset management.
- Assist with the development of financial administration practices and provide training to improve sound financial management.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations on financial management within schools and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Manage various registers such as admission, attendance, and financial records to maintain accuracy and accountability.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) and a three-year relevant qualification in finance.
- A valid driver’s licence (excluding code A/A1).
- At least 2 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in finance and records management.
- Knowledge of departmental policies, financial management, and public financial regulations.
- Proficiency in computer software, including financial systems like Pastel.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape.
