What You’ll Do

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, ensuring they are properly prepared with fresh linen and amenities.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in kitchens, including washing crockery and cutlery.
  • Keep public areas and tourist facilities clean and ready for guest use.
  • Monitor and replace light bulbs and report any damaged items in guest rooms.
  • Complete hospitality forms and maintain accurate records of stock and amenities.
  • Assist in cleaning conference halls and other common areas as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 3 qualification (Grade 8 / ABET / AET certificate) or equivalent recognized by SAQA; a housekeeping certificate is a plus.
  • Physically fit to perform tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, with good time management.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong organisational skills and self-motivation, with the ability to work well in a team.
