What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine maintenance and construction activities on roads
  • Construct culverts and side drains to improve drainage
  • Erect and maintain steel guardrails and gabions for safety
  • Clean and maintain roads, sidewalks, and resting areas
  • Conduct surfacing and pothole patching to ensure smooth travel
  • Install road signs, distance markers, and set road markings
  • Manage road fencing and pipe laying tasks
  • Clear bush and cut grass along roadways to enhance visibility

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification at NQF Level 04 as recognized by SAQA
  • Knowledge of relevant Acts and Regulations related to road maintenance
  • Skills in operating road machinery safely
  • Understanding of health and safety measures
  • Strong decision-making and communication abilities
  • Creativity and planning skills to approach tasks effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
