What You’ll Do
- Develop, interpret, and customize functional and technical norms and standards for engineering projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and compile briefing documentation and specifications for innovative service delivery.
- Oversee the design and construction of civil and structural engineering installations, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Assist in site investigations and preparation of User Asset Management Plans.
- Stay updated on new technologies and procedures through research and professional interactions.
- Implement corrective measures based on investigations into engineering installations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, submissions, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
What You’ll Need
- A 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (B Eng/BSc.Eng) is essential.
- A minimum of three years of post-qualification engineering experience is required.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s license with a willingness to travel within the Western Cape and occasionally nationally.
- Solid computer literacy, particularly with MS Office.
- Proven understanding of the design and construction of complex buildings and civil/structural infrastructure.
- Strong skills in risk analysis, communication, and report preparation in English.
