What You’ll Do

• Develop, interpret, and customize functional and technical norms and standards for engineering projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and compile briefing documentation and specifications for innovative service delivery.
• Oversee the design and construction of civil and structural engineering installations, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Assist in site investigations and preparation of User Asset Management Plans.
• Stay updated on new technologies and procedures through research and professional interactions.
• Implement corrective measures based on investigations into engineering installations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, submissions, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.

What You’ll Need

• A 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (B Eng/BSc.Eng) is essential.
• A minimum of three years of post-qualification engineering experience is required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• Valid Code B/EB driver’s license with a willingness to travel within the Western Cape and occasionally nationally.
• Solid computer literacy, particularly with MS Office.
• Proven understanding of the design and construction of complex buildings and civil/structural infrastructure.
• Strong skills in risk analysis, communication, and report preparation in English.
