What You’ll Do

  • Maintain gravel roads and elements of the road network to ensure safe driving conditions.
  • Conduct needs analyses for gravel patchwork and oversee surfaced road maintenance.
  • Supervise staff and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to enhance road safety.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 10 certificate or a higher qualification.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience as an operator on construction equipment, specifically with a grader.
  • A valid code EC1 driving license with a professional driving permit (PDP).
  • Strong knowledge of construction plant and mechanical maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
  • A high regard for health and safety practices.
  • Leadership abilities and self-motivation with minimal supervision.
