What You’ll Do

  • Review and determine compliance of pleadings and court processes with established rules.
  • Evaluate applications for default judgment and make determinations based on court regulations.
  • Capture and maintain accurate records of judgments and update the Default Applications Register.
  • Analyze statistical data to identify trends and develop strategies for risk management.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Presidential Hotline and chapter 9 institutions.
  • Supervise and develop court support staff, ensuring quality control over their work.
  • Manage performance evaluations and disciplinary actions for staff, fostering a productive work environment.
  • Implement and monitor work systems for improved efficiency within the office.

What You’ll Need

  • An LLB Degree or a four-year legal qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a legal environment.
  • Superior Court of litigation experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of registry duties, case flow management, and legislative frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills.
  • Attributes such as professionalism, meticulousness, and strong work ethics are essential.
