What You’ll Do
- Study case dockets and determine the institution of criminal proceedings.
- Draft charge sheets and represent the State in all regional courts.
- Lead witnesses and conduct cross-examinations during trials.
- Address the court on matters of conviction and sentencing.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the office.
- Collaborate with partners in the criminal justice system to promote community involvement.
- Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct, policies, and directives of the NPA.
What You’ll Need
- An LLB degree or an appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors seeking promotion.
- At least four years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Strong competency in independent and professional conduct.
- Proven ability in prosecuting and guiding investigations.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Good project management capabilities.
- A valid driver’s license.
