What You’ll Do
- Maintain and develop the facility garden, ensuring it is well-kept and aesthetically pleasing.
- Clean and manage the surroundings, including parking areas and pathways.
- Prepare soil for planting and care for trees, flowers, shrubs, and grass in the designated garden areas.
- Remove weeds and assist with the maintenance of the grounds.
- Water gardens and ensure all plants receive appropriate care.
- Move furniture and equipment as needed for events or maintenance work.
- Clean gutters and carry out various tasks as directed by your supervisor.
- Adhere to safety regulations while performing all duties.
What You’ll Need
- ABET Level 4 or NQF Level 1 to 3 qualifications.
- A strong, healthy physique to manage the physical demands of the role.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience in gardening or a formal cleaning environment is preferable.
- Capability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Flexibility to rotate to different areas when necessary.
