What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and develop the college’s garden, including trees, flowers, and shrubs
  • Clean and maintain the surroundings, including parking and pathways
  • Prepare soil for planting and assist in watering the gardens
  • Remove weeds and debris to ensure a tidy environment
  • Move furniture as needed and assist with various maintenance tasks
  • Operate and take care of gardening machinery and equipment
  • Follow safety regulations while performing your duties
  • Carry out any other tasks delegated by your supervisor

What You’ll Need

  • ABET Level 4 or NQF Level 1 to 3
  • Physical strength and health to cope with the demands of the role
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure
  • Previous experience in gardening or formal cleaning environments is preferred
  • Willingness to rotate to different areas as needed
