What You’ll Do
- Maintain and develop the facility garden by preparing soil for planting and caring for trees, flowers, shrubs, and grass.
- Clean and ensure the upkeep of the surrounding areas, including parking and pathways.
- Water gardens and perform maintenance tasks to enhance the outdoor spaces.
- Remove weeds and assist in planting trees and plants, contributing to the campus’s green spaces.
- Move furniture as necessary and assist with the collection and removal of assets from various areas.
- Clean gutters and adhere to safety regulations while executing tasks.
- Undertake any additional duties as delegated by your supervisor, showcasing your flexibility and commitment to the team.
What You’ll Need
- ABET level 4 or NQF level 1 to 3 is required, with no prior experience necessary.
- A physically strong and healthy individual capable of performing demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Preferable experience in gardening or a formal cleaning environment, including waste management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Willingness to rotate to different areas as needed, demonstrating adaptability.
