What You’ll Do

  • Provide optimal, holistic nursing care in accordance with established standards.
  • Deliver comprehensive health care services in the Child Health Care Unit.
  • Efficiently manage resources and implement quality patient care protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and supervise nursing standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other stakeholders.
  • Report on patient safety incidents and manage challenges within the unit.
  • Engage in staff development and performance management activities.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
  • A basic qualification accredited with the SANC (e.g., Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Critical Care Nursing Science (minimum one-year duration).
  • At least four years of experience as a registered Professional Nurse with the SANC.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and function independently.
  • Good supervisory and teaching skills.
