What You’ll Do
- Provide primary health care services in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, statistics registers, and referral records.
- Utilise resources effectively while adhering to budget constraints.
- Engage with the community through events to promote health awareness.
- Collaborate in inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams while also working independently.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff to improve the quality of health services.
- Commit to personal and professional development while upholding ethical standards.
What You’ll Need
- A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- For Grade 2: Minimum 10 years of appropriate nursing experience post-registration.
- For Grade 3: Minimum 20 years of nursing experience post-registration.
- Willingness to work at various facilities, including mobile clinics and community settings.
- A valid (code B/EB) driver’s licence.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to nursing in the public sector.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
