What You’ll Do

• Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and scrubbing areas within the hospital.
• Maintain the general neatness and hygiene of the assigned areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Handle refuse and manage waste disposal in accordance with health regulations.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining machinery used for cleaning purposes.
• Support the housekeeping supervisor with general housekeeping tasks, including managing linen and serving meals to patients.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies and Infection Prevention Control measures.

What You’ll Need

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential for the role.
• Appropriate experience in a household or cleaning environment, preferably within a health facility.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night duties as required.
• Flexibility to rotate through different departments based on operational needs.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning practices and equipment management.
