What You’ll Do

  • Provide primary health care in alignment with established guidelines and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, statistics registers, and referral records.
  • Utilize resources effectively within budget constraints.
  • Engage in community events to raise health awareness.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams while also working independently.
  • Supervise and mentor lower categories of nursing staff to enhance service quality.
  • Commit to professional growth and uphold ethical standards.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • Experience: Grade 1: None; Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ nursing experience post-registration; Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ nursing experience post-registration.
  • Willingness to work at different facilities within the Sub District, including mobile services as needed.
  • Valid (code B/EB) driver’s licence and the ability to use personal transport when required.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy related to nursing within the public sector and basic computer literacy.
