What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate HIV, STI, and TB research initiatives and manage related databases.
  • Establish a provincial research coordinating mechanism and agenda.
  • Participate actively in the Provincial Research Forum and disseminate information on new research findings.
  • Develop and draft the Provincial Strategic Plan (PSP), including stakeholder consultations.
  • Compile comprehensive reports on stakeholder engagement and consolidate inputs for the PSP.
  • Support government departments and NGOs in developing operational plans related to HIV, STIs, and TB.
  • Present the finalized PSP to Local and District AIDS councils and facilitate the distribution of printed materials.

What You’ll Need

  • A three-year tertiary qualification at NQF level 6 or equivalent.
  • At least three years of relevant experience, with two years in a supervisory role.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of research methodology, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and database management.
  • Understanding of HIV policies, strategies, and the South African health environment.
  • Proficiency in project and financial management, along with computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
