What You’ll Do

  • Lead the strategic management of all health service platforms at Mossel Bay Hospital and the Sub District Primary Health Care Services.
  • Ensure compliance with national core standards and clinical best practices to safeguard patient care.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance systems to enhance service delivery across health services.
  • Provide operational support to the Director’s office, utilizing resources efficiently for optimal health service management.
  • Foster internal and external partnerships to promote a wellness approach and address broader health challenges in the sub-district.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Officer post-registration.
  • Willingness to work after hours when necessary.
  • A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.
  • Strong communication skills and proven management competencies in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
