What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Advanced Midwifery Unit, following established norms and standards.
- Manage resources effectively and ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance service delivery.
- Supervise and implement patient care standards while fostering constructive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
- Plan and organize your workload and that of support personnel.
- Contribute to staff development and performance management initiatives.
- Report on patient safety incidents and challenges within the unit.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams, embracing various cultural perspectives.
- Uphold the principles of Batho Pele and the Patient’s Rights Charter.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate/Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
- Basic nursing qualification accredited with the SANC (e.g., Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
- Post-basic nursing qualification in Advanced Midwifery Nursing Science, accredited with the SANC.
- A minimum of four years’ experience as a registered Professional Nurse with the SANC.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
- Good supervisory and teaching capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
