What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive health care services in the Paediatric ICU Unit.
- Ensure effective management of nursing resources and patient care standards.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and ensure compliance with health policies.
- Supervise and implement patient care standards while fostering teamwork among staff.
- Report any patient safety incidents and challenges to maintain a high standard of care.
- Plan and organize your own work and that of support personnel to ensure optimal nursing care.
- Develop constructive working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to Batho-Pele principles and the Patient Rights Charter.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
- Basic qualification accredited with the SANC for registration as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Paediatric-ICU Nursing Science (minimum one year).
- At least four years of experience as a registered Professional Nurse with the SANC.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good supervisory and teaching abilities, with the capability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse individuals.
