What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive health care services in the Paediatric ICU Unit.
• Ensure effective management of nursing resources and patient care standards.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and ensure compliance with health policies.
• Supervise and implement patient care standards while fostering teamwork among staff.
• Report any patient safety incidents and challenges to maintain a high standard of care.
• Plan and organize your own work and that of support personnel to ensure optimal nursing care.
• Develop constructive working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to Batho-Pele principles and the Patient Rights Charter.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
• Basic qualification accredited with the SANC for registration as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
• A post-basic nursing qualification in Paediatric-ICU Nursing Science (minimum one year).
• At least four years of experience as a registered Professional Nurse with the SANC.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good supervisory and teaching abilities, with the capability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse individuals.
