What You’ll Do

  • Provide safe and effective nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures
  • Monitor and assess patient activities, ensuring a therapeutic environment
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records
  • Foster a multidisciplinary approach to holistic patient care
  • Uphold the Batho Pele Principles and patients’ rights in all interactions
  • Take responsibility for the unit in the absence of the operational manager
  • Evaluate staff performance according to set standards

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12/Matric/Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse
  • Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse
  • Certificate of Service from previous and current employer, endorsed and stamped by HR
  • Experience: No experience required for Grade 1; 10 years for Grade 2; 20 years for Grade 3
  • Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, relevant legal frameworks, and nursing statutes
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in report writing and computer skills
