What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the implementation of ECD policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Provide technical support to ECD programs and monitor the effective execution of the ECD conditional grant.
  • Consolidate provincial reports in accordance with the ECD Conditional Framework.
  • Facilitate capacity-building initiatives for stakeholders involved in ECD services.
  • Supervise and support social workers, social auxiliary workers, and data capturers to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage funded ECD centres, ensuring they meet operational standards and requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF level 7 qualification in Social Work as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of seven years’ experience as a Social Worker.
  • Experience in early childhood development (ECD) and partial care is advantageous.
  • Valid registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for individuals with disabilities).
  • Strong understanding of ECD Conditional Grants and relevant government policies.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and solve complex problems with compassion and analytical thinking.
