What You’ll Do

• Provide expert comments and recommendations on development applications affecting the proclaimed road network.
• Develop mechanisms to counter illegal activities impacting road safety.
• Identify road safety problems and implement remedial measures to enhance public safety.
• Coordinate and manage in-house road construction, resealing, regraveling, and routine maintenance activities.
• Develop procedures and methods that improve productivity and quality for in-house projects.
• Manage acceptance and quality control procedures, compiling design specifications for projects.
• Compile tender documentation and technical specifications for road construction materials and services.
• Support the District Road Engineer in various engineering duties as required.

What You’ll Need

• A Civil Engineering Degree (B Eng/BSC(Eng)) or a relevant qualification.
• Three years of post-qualification engineering experience.
• Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
• A valid code B or higher driving licence.
• Knowledge of land use planning, road design and construction, and relevant legislation.
• Strong skills in project management, financial management, and professional judgement.
• Proficient written and verbal communication, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
