What You’ll Do

  • Perform and supervise the maintenance and repair of vehicles, plants, and equipment.
  • Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, and testing to ensure optimal performance.
  • Plan, allocate, and schedule work for maintenance activities in workshops and field operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to artisans and technical personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and safety standards throughout maintenance processes.
  • Monitor ongoing maintenance activities and maintain accurate technical records.
  • Compile reports and contribute to operational planning and resource management.
  • Participate in technical meetings to discuss improvements and updates.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • An appropriate Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in Diesel Mechanical.
  • At least five (5) years of experience as an Artisan in relevant mechanical maintenance environments.
  • Experience with vehicles, heavy vehicles, construction plants, or earthmoving equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong team leadership and technical analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance operations, computer-aided technical applications, and technical report writing.
  • Good problem-solving, planning, and communication abilities.
