What You’ll Do

• Assist in planning and designing agricultural and rural infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure project compliance.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications effectively.
• Monitor construction activities and maintain quality assurance standards.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with farmers, contractors, and municipal officials on project implementation.
• Support departmental construction teams and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in project planning meetings and community engagement initiatives.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 and a recognised National Diploma in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 6) registered with SAQA.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Candidate Engineering Technician.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, technical drawings, and project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively for site inspections.
• Strong skills in technical problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
