The Tara the H. Moross Centre in Sandton is seeking a dedicated Principal Psychologist to join its team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing psychological services within the institution, playing a vital part in enhancing the mental health of the community. What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage psychological services across hospital treatment units.
- Provide clinical services and therapeutic support as a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
- Supervise and train interns, junior psychologists, and medical students in clinical practice.
- Conduct and promote research projects within the institution.
- Serve on the Extended Management Team and participate in hospital committees.
- Collaborate with various external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
What You’ll Need
- A Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-registration.
- Proficiency in providing and overseeing psychological services, with experience in multi-disciplinary team settings.
- Strong skills in clinical supervision and teaching, including knowledge of the Mental Health Care Act.
- Excellent communication, administrative, and leadership abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and computer literacy; experience in a Specialized Psychiatry Hospital is an advantage.
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Family Therapy will be beneficial.
