What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate and safe nursing care to patients.
• Monitor health status and promptly report any changes.
• Assist patients with daily living activities when required.
• Administer medications within the scope of practice.
• Document medication administration and monitor for side effects.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the patient environment.
• Keep accurate and timely patient records and document interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in team meetings and handovers to ensure continuity of care.
• Identify risks and incidents, contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Attend training sessions and in-service training to enhance skills.

What You’ll Need

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12) and a 2-year Staff Nurse Certificate.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• For Grade 1: No prior nursing experience required.
• For Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years of nursing experience post-registration.
• For Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years of nursing experience post-registration.
• Knowledge of nursing care processes, nursing statutes, and relevant legal frameworks.
• Basic communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate professionalism.
