What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including deliveries and the management of obstetric emergencies.
• Perform physical assessments and diagnose common health problems in line with professional guidelines.
• Implement nursing standards and protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Manage maternal, child, and women’s health programs, including immunizations and family planning services.
• Triage patients, ensuring appropriate referrals and follow-ups for untraceable clients.
• Promote infection prevention and control measures within the hospital.
• Participate in community health education and outreach services.
• Supervise and mentor enrolled nurses and community health workers.
• Maintain accurate patient records, registers, and data capturing to support healthcare delivery.

What You’ll Need

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, enabling registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
• Current registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
• Experience requirements vary: Grade 1 – No experience, Grade 2 – Minimum of 10 years, Grade 3 – Minimum of 20 years post-registration experience.
• Strong knowledge of nursing care processes, legal frameworks, and ethical standards.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
• Proficient in planning, organizing, and problem-solving.
• Computer literacy and effective information management skills are essential.
