What You’ll Do

  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance for the nursing team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Implement nursing standards, practices, criteria, and indicators to maintain high-quality healthcare.
  • Deliver comprehensive maternal, child, and women’s health services, including management of obstetric emergencies.
  • Conduct physical assessments and manage common health problems in line with established guidelines.
  • Triage patients effectively, ensuring appropriate referrals and follow-ups.
  • Promote patient-centered care to enhance satisfaction and reduce complaints.
  • Participate in community health education and outreach services to improve access to healthcare.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure effective use of resources in line with healthcare protocols.

What You’ll Need

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with a qualification allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of relevant nursing experience after registration.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of relevant nursing experience after registration.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care processes, relevant legal frameworks, and healthcare statutes.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and information management abilities.
  • Competence in planning, organizing, and using computer systems effectively.
