What You’ll Do
- Provide supervision and guidance for the implementation of nursing plans and quality patient care.
- Maintain high standards of practice and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations in nursing.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare stakeholders to promote effective teamwork.
- Deliver comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including emergency management.
- Conduct physical assessments, diagnose, and treat common health problems within your scope of practice.
- Manage Maternal, Child, and Women’s Health programs, including EPI and Family Planning initiatives.
- Provide care and management for patients with HIV, TB, STI, and Non-Communicable Diseases.
- Triage patients efficiently, ensure follow-ups for defaulters, and maintain patient hygiene and nutritional needs.
- Implement infection prevention and control measures, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Engage in community health education and outreach services to improve health access in rural areas.
- Accurately maintain patient records and data capturing, while ensuring effective resource management.
- Supervise and mentor Enrolled Nurses, Staff Nurses, and Community Health Workers.
- Implement priority programs in alignment with Ideal Clinic standards and contribute to achieving Ideal Clinic Realization Status.
What You’ll Need
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
- Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
- For Grade 1: No experience required; for Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of relevant nursing experience; for Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of relevant nursing experience after registration.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing care processes, procedures, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Strong communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent coordination, networking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in information management and computer literacy.
