What You’ll Do

  • Assist with the management of all Human Resource functions within the PM department.
  • Handle appointments and service terminations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage salary administration and general service conditions.
  • Conduct audits of leave and personnel files to maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee debt management and pension administration.
  • Administer Commuted Overtime and other service benefits.
  • Approve PERSAL transactions and manage personnel inquiries.
  • Facilitate training and development for subordinates.
  • Lead the Staff Performance Management System (SPMS) process for your team.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in Employee Benefits practices.
  • Proficiency with PERSAL and personnel management.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to execute duties accurately.

Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: National Senior Certificate (or equivalent).

Experience: Appropriate experience in all Employee Benefits practices.

Appropriate experience of PERSAL and Personnel management.

Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer skills MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and PERSAL.

Ability to execute duties accurately and thoroughly.

Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties

Support the Senior Personnel Practitioner with the management of all Human Resource related functions within the PM department.

Handle appointments, service terminations, salary administration and general service conditions, audit of leave and personnel files, debt management, pension administration and management of pay sheets.

Administer Commuted Overtime and other service benefits within the Southern / Western Sub-structure.

Approval of PERSAL transactions.

Handle personnel enquires and correspondence (written and verbal).

Training and development of sub-ordinates.

Manage the Staff Performance Management System (SPMS) process for Sub-ordinates.

Assist staff, supervisor, management and members of the public with regard to Human Resource and Personnel Matters.

Salary

R338 106 per annum
