The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dedicated and skilled Principal Inspector: Employer Audit to join their team in East London, located in the beautiful Eastern Cape. This pivotal role involves monitoring the implementation of Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA) and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) strategy programs. What You’ll Do

• Monitor the implementation of UIA and COIDA strategy programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Control processes for evaluating the impact of UIA and COIDA programs, providing insights for improvements.
• Implement systems that deliver expert advice on UIA and COIDA matters specific to various sectors.
• Regularly assess and promote advocacy campaigns regarding COIDA, especially during amendments and updates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to foster awareness and understanding of labour laws and workers’ rights.

What You’ll Need

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Labour Relations Management, BCOM Law, LLB, or Internal Auditing (minimum three years).
• At least two years of supervisory experience in a relevant field.
• A minimum of two years functional experience in auditing or financial management.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Comprehensive knowledge of departmental policies, Batho Pele Principles, and various labour-related legislation.
• Strong skills in facilitation, planning, organizing, problem-solving, communication (both written and verbal), and project management.
