What You’ll Do

• Plan, implement, and evaluate tailored physiotherapy treatment programs.
• Maintain proper statistics and ensure accurate clinical and administrative records.
• Supervise and mentor assistant physiotherapists, students, and support staff.
• Deputise for the chief physiotherapist in their absence, ensuring continuity of care.
• Initiate community outreach programs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development activities.
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the physiotherapy department, including audits.
• Manage the safety and security of equipment and resources in the department.
• Provide physiotherapy services on weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.

What You’ll Need

• A B/BSc Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for 2026/2027.
• A valid driver’s license.
• South African citizenship or permanent residency.
• Experience: Grade 1: None after registration; Grade 2: 10 years; Grade 3: 20 years after registration.
• Technical experience in physiotherapy, with a focus on teaching and research.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to honesty and integrity.
• Interest and knowledge in Cerebral Palsy and ICU experience are advantageous.
