What You’ll Do
- Plan, implement, and evaluate tailored physiotherapy treatment programs.
- Maintain proper statistics and ensure accurate clinical and administrative records.
- Supervise and mentor assistant physiotherapists, students, and support staff.
- Deputise for the chief physiotherapist in their absence, ensuring continuity of care.
- Initiate community outreach programs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development activities.
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the physiotherapy department, including audits.
- Manage the safety and security of equipment and resources in the department.
- Provide physiotherapy services on weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
What You’ll Need
- A B/BSc Degree in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for 2026/2027.
- A valid driver’s license.
- South African citizenship or permanent residency.
- Experience: Grade 1: None after registration; Grade 2: 10 years; Grade 3: 20 years after registration.
- Technical experience in physiotherapy, with a focus on teaching and research.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to honesty and integrity.
- Interest and knowledge in Cerebral Palsy and ICU experience are advantageous.
