What You’ll Do
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, polishing, scrubbing, and mopping floors and furniture.
- Ensure the proper disposal of waste by emptying dustbins and sorting soiled linen according to established procedures.
- Utilize cleaning agents and equipment effectively to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist with the offloading and unpacking of stock as needed.
- Be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment within the healthcare facility.
- Perform relief duties and be available for overtime work, including night shifts and public holidays at Michael Mapongwana CDC.
What You’ll Need
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in a cleaning role within a health facility or hospital setting.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Willingness to work shifts, including public holidays and nights when required.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently while accepting accountability.
- Capacity to handle conflict and work effectively under pressure.
