The Department of Public Service and Administration is looking for a dedicated Personal Assistant to join its team at the Head Office in Polokwane, Limpopo. What You’ll Do
- Manage and maintain the Chief Director’s diary, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes, ensuring follow-up on action items.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and reports for various meetings.
- Screen calls and correspondence, ensuring timely responses.
- Ensure compliance with office protocols and Public Service Regulations.
- Facilitate the effective flow of information and documents to and from the Chief Director’s office.
- Manage office supplies and ensure resources are available for daily operations.
- Compile monthly and quarterly reports for the Chief Director.
- Assist in budget management, including monitoring expenditure and ensuring compliance with financial protocols.
- Draft memos for fund movements and ensure adherence to legal and procedural frameworks.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 plus an NQF 6 qualification in Office Administration, Public Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of one to two years’ experience in providing support services.
- A valid driver’s license is required (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Knowledge of finance and HR procedures, planning, and organizing skills.
- Proficient computer literacy and ability to interpret and apply policies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt to changes and meet goals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
