What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee the provision of specialized nursing services in Intensive Care, Renal Dialysis, and Trauma & Emergency units.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate nursing activities, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Implement infection prevention and control practices to enhance patient safety.
• Manage financial and material resources effectively, focusing on cost containment.
• Supervise nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with protocols and standards of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Facilitate orientation, in-service training, and continuous professional development for staff.
• Compile reports and statistics as required for operational assessments.
• Participate in research activities to promote evidence-based nursing practices.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
• Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science and Midwifery.
• A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a hospital environment, with 5 years in Intensive Care or Trauma & Emergency after qualification.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse, Midwife, and in Critical Care/Emergency & Trauma Nursing.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
