What You’ll Do

  • Deliver quality Primary Health care through a range of services, including preventative, curative, and rehabilitative care.
  • Perform clinical nursing practices according to established standards and guidelines.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support by maintaining accurate statistics for planning and evaluation.
  • Foster professional development among staff to enhance nursing expertise and service quality.
  • Create and implement nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Participate in clinical audits and contribute to quality improvement processes.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, respecting cultural, intellectual, and religious differences.
  • Advocate for patient rights and adhere to safety regulations in all nursing practices.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • A Diploma or Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery Nursing Science.
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse and Midwife/Accoucher.
  • Knowledge of Public Service Policies, Acts, and Regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Batho Pele Principles and the Patients’ Rights Charter.
  • Experience requirements vary:
  • No experience needed for Grade 1.
  • A minimum of 10 years for Grade 2.
  • A minimum of 20 years for Grade 3.
